The Continent Hotel Bangkok - What a perfect location to be staying at during our business trip to Bangkok, having to visit our offices at Exchange Tower just across the road. Looking out to the boisterous city and the hotel we were staying at, envious of those suntanning on by the pool ‘in the sky’.
It’s convenience and exquisite dining all in one go. Just before heading out for lunch, we gave it a browse on the EZTABLE app, checking out the restaurants nearby. And it’s surprising to see the amount of restaurants we could “Checkout” with in Bangkok.
Well, we decided to go for Medinii in the end, what better place to dine for us busy business travellers than the restaurant at the hotel itself. Trust me, when you can get convenience and exquisite dining in one go, it’s definitely a luxury for when you have a flight to catch. Time is of the essence!
Located near BTS Asoke, Medinii is an Italian buffet restaurant that lies on the 35th floor of the building, allowing you to overlook at the endless horizon of skyscrapers. Imagine the view if you’re there at night! Probably not the most impressive, but not too bad for a lunch with your colleagues either!

Taking a look at the menu, we decided to go for the classic Carbonara and Aglio E Olio for our pasta dishes. Tried out Paradiso and Green Chicken Curry for our pizza order. Everything else that is not on the menu are on the buffet counter.
The buffet is not of a grand selection, but is more than enough for a lunch buffet with its variety of salads, cold dish, cheese cuts, pork chops, beef cutlets, etc.
And although it is an Italian lunch buffet, it sure is a pleasant surprise to find the Thai flavourings in their cuisine. Makes up for our much desired indulgence in the famous Thai cuisine with a great balance between olive oil and Thai chilli.
Aglio E Olio pasta, rich in mediterranean flavours and its garlic aroma. Be sure to keep a mint somewhere in your purse!
Carbonara’s always a classic. Can’t go wrong with the creamy white sauce with a dash of bacon!
And here comes the most classic pizza of Medinii, in my opinion --the unimaginable green chicken curry pizza! There’s no better description than “it’s very Thai”. The spice is just enough to tingle your taste buds and not go overboard with its sting.
The best part is that, they could combine two different flavours in one pizza, great solution for those who want to try it all but have a limited capacity in their stomach.
Here’s just a small part of their huge selection of desserts --heaven in the display of mousse desserts. And what better way to finish off with some sweets and sour, desserts and fruits!
Here comes the big show, it all happened too fast, too easy, so I couldn’t catch a screenshot in time. But basically, after we asked for a bill and inform the waiters we’re paying with EZTABLE, we were sent a notification of the amount of the bill. With a simple click to confirm, the whole payment was completed within seconds. And next, we were ready to walk out just like that. And most importantly, ready to catch our flight to our next destination!
